Testing and Calibration

Every ZeroStick TMR module is calibrated and tested before it ships, so most players never need to calibrate at all. This page shows how to check your sticks and how to recalibrate if you ever want to.

Watch: calibrate DualSense Edge TMR modules, no PC required

How to test your sticks

  1. Rest test. Set the controller down and watch a game camera or cursor. Nothing should move.
  2. Circle test. Slowly roll each stick around its full edge. Movement should be smooth with no dead spots or jumps.
  3. Center return. Push the stick to an edge and let go. It should snap back to center and stay still.
  4. Swap test. On the DualSense Edge, swap the left and right modules. If an issue follows the module, it's the module, not the controller.

When to recalibrate

  • After moving modules between controllers
  • If the stick doesn't quite reach its full range
  • If center feels slightly off after a hard drop

Calibration on ZeroStick modules is left unlocked, so you can recalibrate any time by following the video above.
